Is The Vampire Diaries on Break?

The most recent episode of Vampire Diaries (season 1 Episode 10) was the last episode for a few months. Episode 11 won’t air until January 21, 2010. This is an 8 week hiatus that is typical for most TV shows.

The good news is that the show will feature a full 22 episodes this season. And after “The Turning Point,” it seems like the show could go in a completely different direction. With an average of 3.9 million viewers, it seems like this show will be around for awhile.

In other news, The UK’s Unreality Primetime announced that The Vampire Diaries will air in the UK January 2010!
